I recently visited The Source OC for the first time and was pleasantly swept away by all that it offers! While communal food halls such as the Packing District and SteelCraft are closer in proximity to our location in Anaheim, The Source – located in Buena Park within 10 minutes from Knott's Berry Farm – is still only a 15-20 minute drive from the Alamo Inn and Suites and may be better suited for larger gatherings, as it offers spacious covered parking connecting to a Korean-inspired outdoor shopping and entertainment complex. Situated near the convergence of the 5 freeway and the 91, The Source, with its modern build and energetic ambiance, is a unique meeting space for friends and family traveling between Los Angeles and Orange County.
From authentic Korean BBQ to trendy eateries, one of the biggest draws of The Source is its large selection of restaurants. There were endless joints to choose from, but I went with a spicy Potato Korean hot dog from Myungrang Hot Dog. It was my first time trying a Korean hot dog and I was satisfied with my selection. On my next visit, I'm already planning to stop by Yoshiharu Ramen, which offers authentic Japanese ramen, then follow-up with Overflo or Sweet Box for desserts and sweets. For those looking to sit indoors with a larger group, Food Source provides a food court type setting with flexible seating arrangements and a variety of Korean food vendors serving up homey staples such as Tofu Soup, Jajangmyeon, Korean Fried Chicken, Katsu Curry, etc. With so many delicious dining options, you'll want to bring your appetite!
Beyond dining, The Source boasts entertainment options such an indoor children's playground, a karaoke lounge, sports bars, as well as CGA Cinemas, which features domestic blockbusters as well as Asian films with subtitles. As I wandered through the outdoor mall, passing by many clothing and make-up boutiques, I discovered Life 4 Cuts, a hip Korean-style photo studio with booths offering props and backgrounds to generate personalized snapshots. To view a digital copy, you simply need to scan the QR code on the printed photo – this is such a great activity for those who love capturing fun memories!
